This problem doesn't occur all the time, I also had a issue a couple of weeks ago that when the system was powered on the PSU fan would come on full speed and made a real noise. This seems to have sorted itself out, but I'm at a loss for why the machine restarts. Has anyone any ideas. In general, event 27 is usually expected because this event gets logged every time the system shuts down, reboots, goes to sleep, or if the OS resets it. Though disabled by default in the HP Driver, if Intel's SIPS feature is enabled, event 27 is logged every time the system idles long enough for the screen saver to kick in.
As a result, there are other things to look for beyond just event 27. In other words, what other events might lead up to the disconnect?Watch for indicators like frequency of occurrence (intermittently or indicative of a link flapping condition) and is this happening during idle periods or while the user is actively using the system. What other e1x events surround the event (does it reconnect and at what speed); below is a reference table for other Intel Ethernet events in case you don't have the Intel help driver installed.Intel Ethernet Event ID Decoder Event Description 24 Unable to start the network adapter. Hi,I have an ENVY Recline 23-k000a TouchSmart All-In-One Desktop PC. I have a couple of questions about hardware showing up in device manager.1) What is the flash drive for?I believe the higher spec model uses flash drive for disk cache or something.
I don't think I have that, but a 16GB flash drive is definitely there internally, and I'm not sure what it is for or whether I can utilise it.2) What is the nVidia for?The single AIO screen is connected internally to the Intel HD Graphics 4600 adaptor. So what is the nVidia GeForce GT 730A for? This unit has no video out at all that I am aware of. It has an HDMI.in. for using it as a display for another device (eg. Games console), however I wouldn't think a graphics adaptor is required for that.Any ideasSimon.
Hi there, I have a HP 5100 and have found a graphics card with 256MB of memory. The card is an ATI FireMV 2250 PCIE 256M graphics card. It works great and runs a lot of todays software, including a lot of games that require a lot of graphics. I got this graphics card on eBay. Here are links to the card and the cable that you will need.
Make sure to choose a PCIEx1 card and not the PCIEx16. If the link below for these items are no longer active you should be able to use the info to search for similar items. For the drivers go to the site below and select the FirePro8.593.100.8VISTA32089349C.exe file. You may be able to just click the liink above but if you want drivers for other Operating System you may want to go to the web site below. I have downloaded all of them just in case.
You may need to install this driver before you put the card in, I can't remember. Hope this helps. This driver works with Windows 7 and I think it should work with 8 as well.
